Sultana was born in Fort Worth, Texas on February 9th, 1938. She attended Texas Wesleyan College in Fort Worth, TX. She was passionate about both teaching and music and taught music for many years, her love of both were evident throughout her life. She was an avid collector of all things Hallmark and did her part to keep the Kansas City based company in business for many years while working at their local stores. She loved to travel and did so at every opportunity she was afforded. Sultana loved spending time with her family and friends. Many a night she could be found at the local pool hall rooting for her husband and son’s pool teams.
Sultana is survived by her three children, John II, Christopher (Sarah) and Angela. Sultana was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, John Kartsonis and her parents, Leonidas and Zoe Zografos.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 1, 2021 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm with a Trisagion service at 6:00 pm at Mt. Moriah, Newcomer & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, MO. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, April 2, 2021 at 10:00 am at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Christian Church, 12001 Wornall Road, Kansas City, MO.
