Suzanne L. Asjes, 79, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away February 4, 2011. She was born January 8, 1932 in New Rochelle, New York. She was married to the late Mr. William Asjes. They were former members of Hillcrest Country Club where she and her husband enjoyed golf, holiday banquets and social interaction for many years. She worked for Boots & Coates in Watts Mill, and became owner/operator of Suzi’s Casual Dining, a family restaurant with live entertainment. She was preceded in death by her parents James Vincent and Anna Theresa (McNamara) Gotti, her daughter Anne Patricia Estabrook, her husband Bill Asjes, and her beloved sister Joan Kelly. She leaves four children Steve Estabrook, James Estabrook, Mary Shugrue and Elaine Hunter, seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, a brother, a sister, many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews. Visitation will be held at Mt. Moriah & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road on Wednesday, February 9 from 6:00-8:00 p.m., with Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be 10:00 a.m. on Thursday at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 11822 Holmes Road.
