

Thelma Eunice (Braton) Loudon, 93, of Kansas City, went home to be with her Lord on April 30, 2016. Visitation will begin at 9:00 am followed by a service celebrating Thelma’s life at 10:00 am on Saturday, May 7, 2016 at Floral Hills Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
Thelma was born January 15, 1923, in Kansas City, MO. The fourth of five children of William R. Braton, Sr. and Mary Howard Braton. She gave her heart to Jesus at the age of 14 and He remained faithful throughout her life. She attended Central High in Kansas City.
As a teenager in the 40’s Thelma and her sisters sang country and Christian music on local radio and performed in a trio called the “Missouri Sweethearts” in the Brush Creek Follies at the Ivanhoe Temple in Kansas City, MO. She also performed on local TV as a Gorman Girl, sponsored by J.C. Penny’s.
More than anything else she loved her Lord Jesus. She attended Sterling Acres Baptist Church. Thelma enjoyed boating, playing the guitar, fishing and held a private pilot’s license.
Thelma married Clarence H. Loudon at 17 and celebrated 62 years of marriage. Her only child, Sue Ann Loudon was born the year after their Marriage. Survivors include daughter, Sue Ann Loudon, Maui, HI; extended family, Terry, Ethan and Patricia, Chandra and Ryan, Carissa and Carl, Dara and Mike, Malcom, Amanda, Le Andra, Kara, Katelyn, Seth, Micah, Ali, Devin, Elijah Henry, Alexandria, Annika, Ian, Elizabeth and Bennett; sister-in-law, Chris Loudon, beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and many loved ones.
