Tom attended O’Hara High School. He was active in Scouting and earned the rank of Eagle Scout with Troop 283. He was also a proud member of the Tribe of Mic-O-Say. After high school, Tom worked as a mechanic at Sears and Honda, and later on the assembly lines at Harley-Davidson and Forvia.
Tom was a lifelong Kansas City Chiefs fan who cherished every chance to cheer them on—whether from the stands at Arrowhead Stadium or while traveling the country to catch a game. He had an adventurous spirit and a deep love for exploring the U.S., often combining his travels with his passion for football, riding his motorcycle, the outdoors, and time spent with loved ones. Tom found peace in nature, especially while fishing, and never passed up an opportunity to be outside. Always ready to lend a hand, he was the kind of person you could count on—whether it was helping with a project or offering quiet support when it was needed most. Known for his quick wit, warm smile, and generous heart, Tom brought joy, laughter, and kindness to everyone around him.
Tom is survived by his mother, Rita Allison, and his siblings: John Allison; Kathy Brill (Dan); Robert Allison (Frances); and James Allison (Laurel); as well as several nieces and nephews and many friends that became family. He was preceded in death by his father, George Allison, and his brothers, Richard and Dan Allison.
