Thomas Arthur Durm, 85, Excelsior Springs, Missouri passed away surrounded by his family October 25, 2017 in Liberty, Missouri. Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 a.m. followed by funeral service 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 30, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 202 West 19th Street, Kearney, Missouri 64060. Burial in Mt. Moriah Cemetery, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, Missouri 64131.
Tom was born December 23, 1931 in Lincoln, Nebraska, son of Roy Kenneth and Stella (Hazen) Durm. He was a U.S. Navy veteran. Tom worked hard all of his life in civil engineering and was very involved in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. After the passing of his wife, Echo, in 2009, Tom met and married Teresa Pitzenberger in 2011.
He is survived by his wife Teresa, three daughters Criss, Linda and Cory, countless stepchildren and their spouses, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Tom will be greatly missed by his family, friends and his two dogs Jack and Mindy.
