

Thomas Edward Sullivan, 85, of Kansas City, MO, passed away peacefully on December 25, 2010 surrounded by family. Rosary and visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 28th at St. Elizabeth’s Catholic Church, 2 East 75th Street, Kansas City, MO, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m.
Tom was born on June 23, 1925, in Kansas City, MO, to Jerry and Winifred Sullivan. Tom grew up in Guardian Angels parish, attended Rockhurst High School and graduated from Rockhurst University. He continued with Rockhurst as a teacher in the night school. He was a Navy veteran of World War II having served aboard the USS Wisconsin from 1943 to 1946. He worked for Westinghouse and the Bendix Corporation and retired from Deutz Allis Corp. He was a member of St. Elizabeth’s parish for 60 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers Jerry L. Sullivan and William F. Sullivan. Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Frances; daughters Diane Lower and husband Tim, Linda Stadler and husband Greg, Karen O’Keefe and husband Joseph, son Thomas A. Sullivan and wife Stephanie; brother John G. Sullivan and wife Jean; grandchildren Taylor Lower, Dalton Lower, Dylan Stadler, Jacob Stadler and Ava Sullivan.
The family wishes to express their gratitude to the caring doctors, nurses and caregivers at Specialty Hospital and Indian Meadows Healthcare Center. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Elizabeth’s Church.
