Vicki S. Nulton, Prairie Village, Kansas, peacefully passed on August 3, 2022 surrounded by her family. Vicki was born to Carnie and Cora Smith on January 12, 1936, in Paola, KS. A graduate of Kansas State Teachers College with a Bachelors Degree in Education, she was an elementary school teacher in her young adult years. Vicki married William (Bill) Nulton on August 11, 1956 in Pittsburg, Kansas.
Vicki volunteered for the Junior League of Kansas City, Children’s Mercy Hospital and her children’s elementary schools. She was much loved by her grandchildren and great grandchildren and known as their Dee Dee. Vicki was a loving mother and devoted wife. She experienced much happiness attending grandchildren’s events, their weddings and years of Sunday dinners with Bill and the family.
Vicki was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Nulton. She is survived by her son, Carnie Nulton, M.D. (Maura) Kansas City, MO: daughter, Erica Brautman, Biloxi, MS; ten grandchildren, Mary Stuckey (Brad), Sally Kammerer (Nick), Will Nulton (Jordan), Meg Nulton, M.D., Charlie Nulton, Anne Martens (Connor), Sam Nulton , Michael Nulton, David Brautman, Jessica Brautman and seven great-grandchildren.
There will be a private service for family only. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to FIRE Foundation, 20 W. Ninth Street, Kansas City, MO 64105.
