Virgil Branson

Virgil Branson, 92, of Kansas City, MO passed away peacefully on February 6th, 2018 Rosary/Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm followed by services at 2:00 pm on Friday February 9th, 2018 St. Gabriels Catholic Church - 4737 N Cleveland, KCMO. Burial will follow at Resurrection North Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Three Rivers Hospice

Virgil was born January 26, 1926 in Wyaconda, MO, the son of Jesse & Hazel (Worrell) Branson. He was proceeded in death by brothers Dwight, Father Bernard, Nolan, and brother -in-law Al Englehardt

Virgil joined the Army Aircorp on August 10th, 1945 and served in World War II. He was a Staff Sargent as a radio operator. He spent many years at TWA as a flight simulator manager. He enjoyed volunteering at St Gabriel's Church

Virgil loved spending time with his family. His favorite pastimes were boating, fishing, gardening. and bird watching (and trapping squirrels).

Survivors include his wife, Mary Lou Branson: Children Debbie Rector (and dog Charlie), Mike Branson (Jan), Cindy Gensler (Larry), Tim Branson (Jan), Tom Branson (Debbie); Brother Bob Branson (Pat) and sister Nelda Englehardt; grandchildren Mindy Avants, Ryan Avants (Kristen), Jacob Branson, Faith Branson; great-grandchildren Rae Antone, and Olivia Avants
