Virginia L. Cox passed away Thursday, December 8, 2016 at Foxwood Springs, Raymore, Missouri. She was born in Wilson, Kansas on October 27, 1928 and was a homemaker her entire life. Virginia was preceded by death by her parents Claude and Margaret Paxton and her husband of almost 50 years, Vernon. Survivors include her daughter Vickie Sivewright and her son, Dean. Her grandchildren are Cortney Dougherty (Sean); Conner Sivewright (Allyson); Jamie Young (Andrew) and Jeremy Cox (Meredith) and nine great-grandchildren.
Her family would like to thank the staff of Foxwoods Springs and a special thank you to her Hospice nurse, Jodi Powell. Donations may be made to Foxwood Springs or Brookdale Hospice.
Visitation will be held at noon on Monday, December 12, with funeral service following at 1:00 p.m. at Mt. Moriah, Newcomer & Freeman Funeral home, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, Missouri.
