
Walter B. Duvall, Jr., 87, of Kansas City, MO passed away at home on September 30, 2010. Visitation will be at the McGilley & Sheil Chapel on Sunday, October 3rd from 5-7pm with Rosary at 6pm. Mass of Christian Burial at Nativity of Mary Catholic Church, Independence, MO on Monday at 10am with burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Walter was born in Kansas City, MO on October 4, 1922 to Walter B. Duvall, Sr. and Beulah Navin. He graduated form Higginsville High School, married his wife, Ruth on January 26, 1946 and worked for Columbia Windows for 50 years. Walter served with the 870th Bombardment Squadron during WWII and the Korean War. He received the Good Conduct Medal and the Distinguished Unit Badge. Walter was a member of the American Legion. Walter is survived by his wife of 64 years, Ruth Duvall of the home; nine children, Dennis (Rena) of Spring, TX, Donna Bente (Glenn Ballieu) of Independence, MO, Don (Debbie) of Eldorado, KS, David of the home, Denise (Clayton) Vogel of Raytown, MO, Duane (Cathy) of Independence, MO, Diane (Chuck) Bohannon of Kingsville, MO, Dayle (Greg) Tanksley of Gravois Mills, MO and Danny of the home; 11 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Jesse, Jack and Tom and one sister, Betty Pollard.
