Bill Dunlap, 87, Kansas City, MO, passed away April 8, 2015. Visitation will be from 12:00-1:00 p.m. followed by funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Monday, April 13, at Mt. Moriah, Newcomer & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Rd. Burial in Mt. Moriah Cemetery. Bill was born November 21, 1927 in Kansas City, KS son of William and Lura (Bean) Dunlap. He was a faithful Christian, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, friend, employee with Armco Steel, and citizen, serving in the U.S. Army. He had a smile, a kind word and a laugh for all he met. He had many friends.
Bill enjoyed an active life. He liked sports with his family and friends, like softball, bowling and especially golf which he played well until a year ago. Bill and his wife Mary also loved their show dogs. He was a proud Mason and Ararat Shriner.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years Mary, son Kenneth and his wife Barb, and sister Betty Dunlap. Bill is survived by his sons, Bill “Buns”, Mark and wife Ann Marie, and David Dunlap; daughter Sheryl Acton and husband Steve; grandchildren Tallica, Trase, Trista, Angela, Matt, Kevin, Chelsea, Ashley, Phillip and Michael; and six great-grandchildren Alayna, Avery, Clay, Janie, Tori and Nicolas.
