William “Bill” Lewis Davis, 84, Overland Park, KS, passed away January 27, 2016. Visitation will be from 2:00-2:30 p.m. followed by funeral service at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, January 30, at Mt. Moriah, Newcomer & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Rd. Burial in Mt. Moriah Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Association or Wounded Warriors.
Bill was born February 6, 1931 in Adrian, MO, son of Lewis M. and Eva A. (Cummins) Davis. He was a graduate of Adrian High School and CMSU. Bill was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran. He spent the bulk of his career as co-owner of Hill’s Truck Line. In retirement Bill stayed busy first as a volunteer then as an employee in the ER at St. Joseph Hospital.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Bobby, and his beloved wife Kaki Davis. Bill is survived by daughters Kathy Weatherholt and husband Larry and Carol Fallin and husband Mike; grandchildren Kate Diaz and husband Donovan, Spencer Weatherholt and wife Rachel Moses, Rachael Ryan and husband Billy, and Gabe Fallin; and great-grandchildren Addison and Eleanor Diaz and Langston Ryan. He will be deeply missed.
