

W. Frank Hale III, 68 passed away Thursday, August 2, 2012 with family at his side after a long courageous battle with Alzheimer's. Frank was born in Omaha, Nebraska, June 1, 1944, and was a Center High School graduate of the Class of 1962. He was an Eagle Scout with Palm and Tribe of the Mic-O-Say. Frank was a manufacturing sales representative in the Home Furnishings industry since 1969. He married his high school sweetheart and they raised four children. Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Frank Hale, Jean and Orvis Smith, his brother Arthur Hale and half brother Craig Hale. He is survived by his wife of 48 years ,Carol A. (Miller) Hale; sons, Frank Hale and wife Wendy, and Grant Hale; daughters, Kris Kuecker and husband Jim, Kim Skinner and husband Allen; and his sister Sandra Perkins and husband Ron. He leaves six grandchildren, Brittany and Jessica Hale, Kelsey, Grant and Madison Kuecker, Kade Skinner; one great granddaughter Autumn Hunter; sister-n-law Margaret Hale; half brother Greg; half sisters Marilyn and Brenda; several nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends. He enjoyed spending time with his family, children and grandchildren. They were his life. Frank built many family traditions that will be carried on through his own children. He had a love of sports, was an avid golfer, loved to entertain and was well known for his martinis. Frank was a mentor to many and especially to the friends of his children. The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Garden Terrace in Overland Park, Kansas for their warm and compassionate care. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday, August 9, at Mt. Moriah & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, Missouri 64131. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Alzheimer's Association at 3846 W. 75th Street, Overland Park Kansas, 66208.
