“Bill”, son of James Oscar Wesley and Mary (MacReady) Hendrix, loving husband of LaVon Hendrix, passed away on June 30th at North Care Hospice in Kansas City, MO. He is survived by his wife LaVon of 47 years, and three sons Randy, Kevin & Chris and 2 daughters Sandy & Bonnie. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, many great grandchildren, nieces & nephews. Bill worked as a Floor layer and joined the Union in 1946 until his retirement. He is a Life member of the Floor Layers Union, Bill’s passion (other than his family) was golf. He was unable to play the game after a stroke in 2002, but still loved watching and talking about “his” game. He was a avid Royals and MU Tigers fan. He loved a horse race and never missed watching and picking the winners. He served in the Navy during WWII and had the delight of going on the “Honor Flight” to Washington DC last year. He preceded in death by his parents and all his siblings ( Helen, Sonny, Catherine, David and Laurence). He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. His ashes will be interred with his wife's ashes at Florals Hills Cemetery, Kansas City Mo.
