William Russell “Rusty” James of Gardner, Kansas passed away on January 18, 2024. He was born March 2, 1965.

Rusty was preceded in death by his parents, William Francis James and Margaret A. James.

Rusty’s greatest joy was his son, Caleb and he was a wonderful father to him. He and Caleb spent all the time they could together fishing and hunting at “The Farm.” Rusty’s other passions were barbecue anything and smoking the best briskets ever and of course The Chiefs!

Rusty is survived by his son, Caleb James. Rusty is also survived by his siblings, Lori Tempel and Sherri James, his niece, Kaitlyn Mitchell and nephew, Alex Farrell.

You were loved so much and left us too soon. You are missed by so many!

There will be a memorial visitation on Saturday, February 10, 2024 from 2:00 - 4:00pm at Mt. Moriah Newcomer & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, Missouri 64131
