Bill K. Sheriff, 81, Overland Park, Kansas, passed away July 27, 2012 at Kansas City Hospice House. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 1 at the United Methodist Church of the Resurrection, Wesley Chapel, 13720 Roe Avenue, Leawood, Kansas 66224. A visitation and reception will follow the service. Bill was born February 26, 1931 in Kansas City, Missouri, son of Raymond and Laura (Mann) Sheriff. He was an active member of the United Methodist Church of the Resurrection. He worked for 23 years as a locksmith for Kenton Brothers. He later worked at the University of Missouri-Kansas City for 23 years, retiring in 1996. Bill’s pastimes included classical music, cars, and traveling, especially to Colorado. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Virginia, (Taylor) Sheriff of the home; a godchild, Paul L. Busdiecker; and dear friends, Roy and Jan Busdiecker.
