Born on August 17, 1948, Roy grew up with a deep sense of community, hard work, and generosity—values that guided him throughout his life. Whether through his career, hobbies, or time spent with family, Roy touched the lives of many with his quiet strength, gentle humor, and steadfast support.
He dedicated himself to his profession as a truck driver, where he was respected not only for his skill but also for his kindness and integrity. Roy found joy in watching sports, working in his garden and fishing.
Roy is survived by his beloved wife Mary, his children Vance and Shannon and his many grandchildren. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who had the privilege to know him.
A celebration of Roy’s life will be held on August 17th from 2:30-5:30 pm at North Kansas City Parks and Recreation Center, 1201 Clark Ferguson Dr, North Kansas City, MO.
