William Raymond Walden, 68, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away September 4, 2013 at Kansas City Hospice House. Memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, September 7, at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, 7740 Lackman, Lenexa, Kansas.
Mr. Walden was born November 27, 1944 in Maryville, Missouri, son of William Turner and Minnie (Thurman) Walden. He had worked as a railroad conductor. He loved being outdoors, especially hunting, fishing and working in his vegetable garden. He had a great sense of humor his entire life.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Jerry D. Walden. Mr. Walden is survived by his wife of 48 years, Mary Frances (Merrill) Walden; sons William David, Daniel Raymond, Donald Joseph and wife Malissa, and Douglas Eugene Walden; sisters Sheila Johnson, Janet Doyle and Pam Bass; grandchildren Tiffany and William Walden, Opal and Lenora Walden; great-grandchildren Logan and Lylah Bestgen; extended family and friends.
