William Eugene “Bill” Whitaker, 82, of Kansas City, MO passed away on Sunday, March 1, 2015. Bill was born October 11, 1932 in Reeds, MO to William & Madelyn Whitaker. He was a US Army Veteran serving during the Korean Conflict. Bill enlisted on Nov. 29, 1949 and was Honorably Discharged on March 15, 1953. Bill worked for Bendix (Honeywell) and then Ford Motor Co. in Claycomo, MO as a Millwright for 20+ years. Bill was a member of the UAW and an American Legion Member. On March 1, 1958 Bill married Dorothy Poulson who preceded him in death. Bill is survived by a daughter, Tami Atkinson and a granddaughter, Kara Atkinson.
