William P.(Woody)Woodward, 98 passed away in his sleep Sunday, June 14, 2015 joining those who went before him. William was born April 3, 1917 in Anderson, MO the son of Thomas P. and Rachel Ruth Woodward. He is preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Elsie (Holtcamp) Woodward, Two granddaughters, Teresa M. VanDeVyvere and Kimberly Jean Foster. He is survived by his daughter, Sharon Foster, grandson, Jason Foster, great granddaughter, Danielle Marie VanDeVyvere and her father, Michael. Woody was a member of Aarat Shrine, Scottish Rite and Masonic Lodges for over 50 years. He was also a veteran of WWII serving his country in the United States Navy and an avid fisherman most of his life. He worked 39 years at Union Station in Kansas City encountering many celebrities during those years and even put Harry Truman on the train. Visitation will be Friday, June 19, 2015 from 6-8 p.m. at Floral Hills Funeral Home. Services will be Saturday, June 20, 2015 at 2 p.m. also at the Funeral Home.
