Wilma M. Edwards, 81, of Independence, MO passed away on Sunday, November 20, 2011 at John Knox Village. Visitation will be at Blue River Church of Christ (221 NE Woods Chapel Rd, Lee’s Summit, MO 64064) at 4pm on Friday with services following at 5:30pm. Burial will be 11am Saturday at Freedom Cemetery in Camdenton MO. Wilma worked at Honeywell as a security officer for 17 years & was a member of the Blue River Church of Christ. Wilma was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Della Shipman, 3 brothers & 5 sisters. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Harley Edwards of the home; daughter, Linda L. (Johnie) Smith of Raytown, MO; son, Joe D. Edwards of Lee’s Summit, MO; 4 grandchildren & 7 great grandchildren. Condolences may be made to the charity of your choice.
