

Wilson E. Redman, 95, of Overland Park, KS, passed away Friday, February 24, 2012. Funeral services will be 10:00 am, Wednesday, February 29th, at McGilley State Line Chapel with burial following in Aubrey Cemetery, Stilwell, KS. Visitation will be from 6-8pm, Tuesday, at McGilley. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Wayside Waifs, 3901 Martha Truman Road, Kansas City, MO 64137.
Wilson was born October 8, 1916 in Tonganoxie, KS to George and Blanche (Fordyce) Redman. He attended the University of Kansas, where he became a member of the Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity and then served his country during WWII in the Army Air Corps. Wilson joined Jack Henry Clothing Co in 1946 as the Controller and was later named Treasurer in 1953. In 1976 he was named Vice President and then retired in 1987. In 1964 he was elected Treasurer of the Men’s Apparel Forum which is an association of men’s wear stores operating throughout the US and Hawaii. He was also Past President of the Heart of America Controllers Group, past member of the Kansas City Breakfast Club and the Plaza Kiwanis Club.
Mr. Redman was preceded in death by his wife, Monte Redman and two brothers, Kenneth and Charles Redman.
Wilson is survived by his daughter, Judith Mayer and her husband Roland of Kansas City, MO; two sisters-in-law, Marion Redman of Prairie Village, KS and Betty Redman of Bella Vista, AR; one niece Kathy Blackford and one nephew Mark Redmond.
He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him!
