

Belia Jalomo, born on March 28, 1938, in Encinal, Texas, passed away on February 9, 2026, at the age of 87. Belia was a beloved resident of Katy, Texas, known for her genuinely loving and caring nature, her giving spirit, and her deep beliefs in her Catholic faith and passion for politics.
In her early life, Belia was raised in a small ranching community with strong family ties and South Texas values. She later moved to Laredo, Texas, where she built her life, created her roots, and started her family. She attended Martin High School, where she laid the foundation for her future endeavors.
Belia enjoyed a fulfilling career in the food industry, retiring as a restaurant manager. Her work was a source of great pride and satisfaction throughout her life.
On December 31, 1956, Belia married Eduardo Jalomo, with whom she shared a life filled with love and companionship. She was also a devoted pet owner to Louie, Gizmo, and Paco.
Her personal interests included sewing, cooking, dancing, watching her Spanish Novelas, and listening to music. Above all, her favorite pastime was loving her daughters, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. She lived life to the fullest, enjoying every moment with a smile.
Belia was best known for her ability to love deeply, whether it was family or strangers. She lived each day by the word of God, always giving without expecting anything in return, leaving a legacy of kindness and generosity.
Belia was preceded in death by her father Felipe Martinez, mother Tomasa Martinez, husband Eduardo Jalomo, sisters Virginia Nieto and Isabela Nieto, brother Carlos Martinez, brother Leopoldo “Polo” Martinez, and daughters Jaqueline Jalomo and Jaqueline (Jackie) Lopez.
She is survived by her brother Basilio-Angela-Light, daughters Leticia -Jose- Hererra, Patricia -Ramiro- Jimenez, Ruby Paniagua, and Liza -Nekita Smith-Jalomo. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren Priscilla -Albert Ortiz, Jessica- Ediberto- Campa, Rachel-Ramiro-Garza, Jose Jr -Yahaira-Rodriguez, Ramiro Jr -Veronica- Jimenez, Alberto-Sonia- Jimenez, Venesa Jimenez, Kimberly-Jesus-Jimenez, Dominique Jimenez, Cristina- Ricky-Gonzalez, Martin Lopez Jr., Anahi Lopez, Korina Cadena, Stephanie- Cody- Martinez, Rolando Jr -Jennifer Cadena, Esmeralda -Miguel-Andrade, Larry Lopez Jr., Jakori- Rachel- Reece, JaKayla Smith, Anthony Burt, Joshua Washington, and Jaxon “papito” Jalomo. She is also survived by 36 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great-grandchildren, and countless nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Belia Jalomo will be remembered for her unwavering love, her generous heart, and the joy she brought to the lives of those around her.
