Bohdan Vorobets, a devoted father, scholar, and mentor, passed away peacefully surrounded by family. He was born on August 23, 1945 and lived a life defined by dedication to education, compassion for others, and unwavering love for his family.
A lifelong learner, Bohdan Vorobets earned his Ph.D. and went on to serve as a university professor for many years. In the classroom he inspired generations of students with his knowledge, patience, and belief in the power of education. Colleagues respected him not only for his scholarship but also for his integrity, humility, and generous spirit. After a distinguished academic career, he retired, leaving behind a lasting legacy through the many lives he influenced.
Above all else, he was a devoted family man. His love for his children was profound, and during his son’s long illness he did everything within his power to support, protect, and care for him. His strength, perseverance, and compassion during those difficult times reflected the depth of his character.
He was preceded in death by his beloved son Yaroslav, daughter Mariya, his son-in-law Oleg and two cherished grandsons Roman and Petet. Though he carried these losses with quiet strength, he remained a constant source of encouragement and love for his family.
Those who knew him remember a man who was deeply supportive of his family—both near and distant. He stayed connected, offered guidance, and celebrated the accomplishments of those he loved. His wisdom, kindness, and steady presence will be deeply missed.
He leaves behind family members who will forever cherish his memory, along with former students, colleagues, and friends whose lives were enriched by knowing him.
His legacy lives on through the family he loved, the students he taught, and the example of compassion, perseverance, and dedication he showed throughout his life.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to a gofundme account to cover the expenses.
