Catherine Mermis Louvier

Catherine was born November 28, 1962 in Russell, Kansas to James and Barbara Mermis. Catherine graduated from Eisenhower High School in 1981 and set out to begin her independent life upon graduation. She married in 1994 to Michael Louvier and moved to Katy to raise their family. Catherine loved meeting new people, dancing, playing softball, golf and soccer. Catherine's friends and family were a major part of her life that filled her with joy. Catherine's Cancer Journal helped so many cancer Warriors with her positive message, grace and willingness to meet and talk to any of these warriors to help them out during difficult times. Her faith in the Lord gave her peace.

Catherine Mermis Louvier was preceded in death by her mother, Barbara Mermis. She leaves behind her loving husband of 26 years, Michael Louvier; stepson, Corey Louvier; stepdaughter, Courtney Louvier, who she loved as her own; granddaughters, Evelyn Burch-Louvier and Astrid Louvier; grandson, Elijah Johnson; her father, James Mermis; sisters, Cindy Mermis and Kim Mermis; brothers, Paul Mermis and Michael Mermis; and a host of cousins, nephews, nieces, Pink Sisters, medical staff and friends that filled her heart with love.

In Lieu of Flowers, Catherine requested that donations be made to the National Breast Cancer Foundation or her favorite gift, help a family or friend with cancer. These gifts come with love and do a lot to support these families during these times. Cathy's last request was to let all know how thankful she was to have you in her life and that she loved all of you.
