Well Claire,we always thought you and Stan looked like movie stars! You're both now Heavenly Stars! Thank you for such wonderful, fun, loving memories. You taught me so much about family, mothering, fun, DANCING (especially to "Jeremiah was a bullfrog")and loving! You are definitely "one of a kind". Loved your laugh, your smile, sense of humor and tottally your accent!!!! We will never forget you, Stan or your wonderful, "so glad we met ya family"

I have known this family for about 25 years, worked with Kelly and went to UH together for a bit.  What a wonderful, large family.  I always admired how Mrs. Kansas was always so happy and living life with such grace after the passing of her husband.  My prayers are with the entire family, and wish them peace and understanding,  Love you Kelly, thank you for being such a great friend throughout all these years.  Stay strong!

The Kansas and Torroella family had a huge impact on what I wanted for my own family.  Your Mom was so cool to me growing up.  I remember Gary and I were playing ping pong in the garage   Claire came outside and I threw a rubber snake in her direction. I thought she was going to get me pretty good.  She jumped and screamed.  I will always cherish my time hanging out with the Kansas family.   Robert

Where to start...........I have such fond memories of Stan, Claire and the rest of the Kansas family.  They are like my 2nd family.  Stan and Claire were always about family.  I always felt very welcome and they were always caring about everyone that came and went through the Kansas home.  Memories about Stan: deck of cards always in the hand, always tending to the aquarium and the pool, hitting golf balls at the football field, but most importantly always genuinely interested in what was going on in mine and other friend's of Gary's life.  Claire: People magazine, Pat Sajak and Wheel of Fortune, Vegas, Jersey, but always caring and interested in people and their well being.  Also telling me to be quiet so the grand babies could sleep!  They are together again as they should be, but they touched the lives of so many.  Truly missed, God bless them.  Love, Ken.

Much love to the Kansas Family who I grew up next door to.  Claire was a funny, loving, compassionate lady. I have so many memories of her and can picture her standing outside calling her children home from play (mainly Gary and Kelly) and standing at the stop with us every single day.

I wanted to extend my deepest condolences to Gary, Kelly, and Mary for the loss of their mom.  I considered Claire like a mom; she was the most wonderful and sweetest person I have ever know.  I am so thankful that I was able to visit with her and the family recently.  She will be greatly missed.

I want to extend my deepest thoughts, prayers and condolences to my friend Gary Kansas and his entire family. God bless you all.

I've had the pleasure of knowing this wonderful mother and grandmother for over 30 years. Her sense of humor was contagious and her laugh and smile affectionate. She will be truly missed by so many. I'm blessed to have known her and feel overwhelmed with peace knowing she's now with the love of her life. Hugs to her sweet family!

We have been fortunate to have known and loved the Kansas family for over 30 years.  We are saddened to learn of Claire's death.  She was the consummate image of a mother, and her life revolved around her family.  The Kansas children were raised in a family central life, secure in the love of their two wonderful parents, and have grown to reflect that in the people they have become as adults.  The memories of the times we have spent with them will always count among the most important.

May the Lord grant her rest, and bestow blessings and peace upon the whole Kansas family!

I will be eternally grateful for Claire's example - her love, compassion and prayers for others. We will miss her terribly, but we are comforted to know she is with her beloved husband. Her light will continue to shine through her amazing family.
