Clifford was preceded in death by parents Irion and Beulah Andrews; sister, Doris Andrews; brother, Donald Ellis; and daughter, Courtney Richards. He is survived by wife Lila Andrews; daughter, Lisa Jurena and husband, Wesley Jurena; son, Christopher Andrews and wife, Rachelle Andrews. He is also survived by grandchildren, Jared and Erica Jurena, Kendall and Taylor Andrews and great grandsons, Ford and William Saunders.
Clifford was a life-long resident of Houston, a graduate of Lamar High School and attended Blinn Junior College and the University of Houston. Additionally, Clifford was an award-winning printer in the Houston area for 40 years. He honed his craft at Dow Chemical, Kwik Kopy, and Southwest Precision Printing as well as owning his own printing company for over 15 years (Southwest Eagle Printing).
Clifford was an avid golfer and loved spending time with his family and sports (watching and coaching). He was a big fan of the Astros and Texans (the Oilers too before they left town) and a known hater of slow play on the golf course. He was also an avid tennis player for many years. Cliff was never far from his wife Lila, of nearly 50 years, and never missed his children’s games and events (not work or even a trip to the emergency room could keep him from making it to games/ events for kids). Clifford’s impact on his children and family is immeasurable and he will be sorely missed by all that knew him.
Clifford will be honored at Katy Funeral Home, 23350 Kingsland Boulevard, Katy, Texas, on Monday, January 16, at 4:00PM.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Cancer Society.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.katyfh.com for the Andrews family.
