Donald Lee Ruby

Donald "Don" Lee Ruby, age 82, passed away on July 4, 2025. He was born on May 24, 1943, to Paul and Dorothy Ruby (Vaughan) of Warsaw, MO. Graveside services with Military Honors will be held on Thursday, July 17, 2025 at 12:45 pm - Houston National Cemetery.

Donald met his beloved wife Karen in high school and it was love at first sight. They were married on July 28, 1962. Soon after graduation and marriage, Don joined the Navy where he would serve 20 years.

Don loved bass fishing, especially from his boat. He always made it a point to take Karen and his daughter Janet on fishing tournaments and family fun. Woodworking was among the things he loved, but fishing was always at the top.

Don will be remembered for his sense of humor, love for his country, his friends and most of all his family. In his last days his faith was apparent in his words of assurance to his family.

Donald is preceded in death by his parents and his brother Wayne Eugene Ruby.

He is survived by his wife Karen and his daughter Janet Belyeu; grandchildren, Brandon and Tommy Belyeu and brother James Bruce Ruby.
