Esperanza Gomez

Esperanza Gomez, 71, passed away peacefully on February 19th, 2025, at home surrounded by those she loved. She was born on January 19,1954 in Las Varas Madera Chihuahua, Mexico. She is preceded in death by her parents Maria de los Angeles Morales Delgado and Librado Garcia Najera and her brothers David, Balo, and Aldo Garcia. Esperanza is survived by her siblings Josefina, Carmen, Lorena, Leonel and Jesus.

Esperanza and her husband Uriel came to the U.S. in 1976 in search of a better life. They began pursuing the American Dream in Chicago and later in 2005 made Katy, Texas their home. A loving wife, mother, and grandmother, Esperanza was the heart and soul of her family. She leaves behind a legacy of love through her devoted marriage to Uriel Gomez, her unconditional love for her son Cesar, his wife Monica, and her grandchildren, Vivian, Yazmin, and Valentina Gomez. Esperanza also lovingly embraced her role as grandmother to Jocelyn, Joshua, Jeanette, and Alyxandra. She would often say that her family was her reason for living.

Esperanza will be forever remembered for her calming nature, her enduring faith, strength, support, and unconditional love. Her kind heart and spirit will live on in the hearts and memories of all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Memorial Service

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. at Katy Funeral Home. Friends and family are invited to join in remembering and honoring her remarkable life. A Mass in her honor will follow on Thursday, February 26, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., with a reception immediately afterward.

Esperanza Gomez, de 71 años, falleció pacíficamente el 19 de febrero de 2025 en su casa, rodeada de sus seres queridos. Nació el 19 de enero de 1954 en Las Varas Madera, Chihuahua, México. Le precedieron en la muerte sus padres, Maria de los Angeles Morales Delgado y Librado Garcia Najera, y su hermanos David, Balo, y Aldo Garcia. A Esperanza le sobreviven sus hermanos Josefina, Carmen, Lorena, Leonel y Jesús.

Esperanza y su esposo Uriel llegaron a los Estados Unidos en 1976 en busca de una vida major. Comenzaron a perseguir el sueño americano en Chicago y, en 2005, hicieron de Katy, Texas, su hogar. Esposa, madre y abuela amorosa, Esperanza era el corazón y el alma de su familia. Deja un legado de amor a través de su devoto matrimonio con Uriel Gomez, su amor incondicional por su hijo Cesar, y su nuera Monica, sus nietas Vivian, Yazmin y Valentina Gomez. Además, Esperanza abrazó con cariño su rol como abuela de Jocelyn, Joshua, Jeanette y Alyxandra. Esperanza siempre decía que su familia era su razón de vivir.

Esperanza será recordada para siempre por su naturaleza calmante, su fe inquebrantable, fortaleza, apoyo y amor incondicional. Su corazón bondadoso y su espíritu vivirán en los corazones y recuerdos de todos aquellos que tuvieron el privilegio de conocerla.

Servicio Conmemorativo

Se realizará una visita el miércoles 26 de febrero de 2025 a las 5:00 p.m. en Katy Funeral Home. Amigos y familiares están invitados a unirse para recordar y honrar su hermosa vida. Seguirá una Misa en su honor el jueves 26 de febrero de 2025 a las 11:00 a.m. en la Iglesia Católica St. Edith Stein, con una recepción después.
