Glenda met Neil Michael Mathis at the young age of 10 years old at Bethel Baptist Church. The two dated in high school then went their separate ways after graduation. Together they raised their family in Katy, Texas, and made many beautiful memories through the years.
Glenda’s happy place was in Galveston, Texas, at the family beach house. Her most beloved memories stemmed from spending time with her family, grandsons, and friends by the ocean. She liked to fish and spend time on the boat whenever she had the chance.

She also enjoyed spending time working in her gorgeous flower beds, at home in Katy and in Galveston, and soaking up the sunshine. She was truly such an inspiration to others.
Glenda was very involved in her church at Second Baptist West Campus. She found great joy as a Bible Study leader and loved sharing the Word of God with others. Glenda was a devoted Christian and lived by example each and every day. She genuinely loved people and generously gave of herself to others in need.
