Jesusa began her professional journey as an Assistant Manager at the Philippine Virginia Tobacco Association before courageously pursuing a second career in Nursing in London. As a scholar at the University of London, she trained in nursing and went on to serve with dedication at Moorefield’s Eye Hospital, Italian Eye Hospital, and Middlesex Hospital.
In January 1984, she relocated to the United States, where she worked with compassion and skill at Kaiser Permanente in Los Angeles, California, and Elmendorf Air Base Hospital in Anchorage, Alaska. All her seven children were able to join her in the U.S., a blessing she cherished deeply.
Jesusa leaves behind a lifetime of treasured memories for her children: Jacinto, Elma, Maria-Victoria, Damian (and Rosaliza), Joseph, Christina (and MJ), Aurel, and Bernardine (and Jim); and her grandchildren: Brian (Erdy and Scottie Yanni), Suzette (and Sandy, Rain, and Skye), Borgy (and Elbert), Carla (and Slawek, Olivia), Jewvidal, Jakob, and Ella; nephew and niece: Noel (and Delia, Mark), and Melitza (JM, Janno and Jordan); and her sister Elnora and brother Manuel.
She will be remembered for her courage, her infectious sense of humor that could fill any room with laughter, and the strong work ethic she modeled for her family.
