Juan graduated from Ball High School in 1967. After high school, he served our country in the U.S Army during the Vietnam War as a field radio engineer. After military service, he worked at Occidental Corp, SystemHouse and Cy-Fair ISD.
Juan was preceded in death by his parents Irene and Avelino Troncoso and sister Rosie Williams and sister-in-law Ofelia Troncoso. He leaves behind his loving wife Olga of 44 years, daughter Kristy Strong and husband Richard Strong, granddaughters: Addison and Alexandra Strong, son John Troncoso and wife Edna Troncoso, granddaughter Aria Troncoso and grandson Aden Troncoso. Brother Avelino Troncoso, sister Eufemia Rodriguez and husband Gerard Rodriguez, sister Irene Torrence and husband Rick Torrence and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Juan was a caring and generous man that wanted to provide everything possible for his family. He enjoyed traveling especially going on cruises, playing with his grandchildren aka The A-Team, spending time with family, watching 60 minutes, and reading Texas Monthly. He also enjoyed being a handyman and fixing things. He always said “If I can’t fix it, I’ll call someone.”
The family would like to thank all the considerate staff at MD Anderson Main and West Campus for the care they provided over the past 14 years as he fought a good fight.
We will miss him tremendously but his Troncoso spirit will continue to live on through the love he shared with his family.
