

In 1984, Lynda met the love of her life, David Alan French, in Houston, Texas. They were married on September 27, 1985. They were happily married for 30 years. David was very familiar with the phrase “Yes Dear.” Lynda and David remained in Houston and their marriage was blessed with two wonderful daughters and three wonderful grandchildren.Of all the things she did in this life, nothing gave her more joy than being with her husband, children, and grandchildren.
In 2009, Lynda was diagnosed with cancer. Although she underwent a strenuous treatment plan, nothing could slow her down. She kept busy planning family activities, vacations, watching her grandchildren grow, and enjoying her many gambling ventures.
Lynda French was a woman who touched the lives of everyone she met, and assumed many different roles that filled her life. She was a daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, caregiver, and friend. Her love was boundless and her energy unmatched.
Lynda loved life and found the positive in every situation. She was so full of love. She was a fearless force of light, the whole family’s best advocate, and the voice of reason when life threw you an obstacle. Lynda was the rock for the whole family, offering sound advice and wisdom. Everyone would come up to the mountain to see her to help solve those roadblocks of life.
Lynda Dawn French peacefully passed away, at the age of 51, on October 22, 2015 at 11:12 a.m. at her home in Houston, Texas surrounded by family, in the arms of her husband David and daughter Danielle.
Lynda was preceded in death by her father, Alan Gregory. Lynda is survived by her husband David, daughters Nichole and Danielle, grandchildren Alexander, Dylan, Baylee, mother Irene Gregory, 2 sisters, Karen Avery, Julie Rix, and many nieces and nephews.
