Margarita Velazquez Diaz

Margarita was born on August 18, 1952 in Bronx, New York. She obtained an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration and retired from Lederle Pharmaceuticals in Carolina, Puerto Rico after 18 years. Margie enjoyed spending time with her family and was described as someone who was always happy, joyful, and very funny. She loved making everyone laugh. She especially loved playing with her nieces, nephews, and grandkids.

Margarita Velazquez was preceded in death by her parents Narciso Velazquez and Aurelia Velazquez, brother, Narciso Velazquez, Jr. and sister, Bessie Velazquez. Survived by her 2 sons, Jose E. Haddock Jr., and Josenric Haddock; Grisel Rivera and her three children; Coralet Velazquez Clemente and 3 children; brothers, Eloy Velazquez and Calet Velazquez; sisters, Carmen I. Velazquez and Maritza Velazquez; and a host of cousins, nephews, nieces, family and friends.

Margarita will always be remembered as a loving mother, sister, aunt, and friend. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

The Velazquez family would like to give a special thanks to Memorial Hermann Hospital, the nurses and staff, and Encompass Health Hospice Home Care staff members for taking great care of Margarita on her final days of life.
