

She is survived by a son, Bob Harvey and wife Kathryn of Katy, Texas and two grandchildren, Erin Moyer and husband Kyle of Euless, Texas and Colin J. Harvey of Katy, Texas. She loved them dearly.
In addition, she is survived by multiple nieces and nephews. She had two nieces that were special to her: Sara Rubloff, who never missed a birthday, Christmas or holiday; and Shirley Wisenburg, who facilitated frequent visits between Mary and her sister Betty.
She was preceded in death by: her husband, Joseph M. Harvey; son, Michael J. Harvey; and parents, Harry and Alice Bell. She also outlived all of her siblings: her brothers, John , Ivor and Ord Bell; her sisters, Clara, Grace Kroll, MD and husband Mark, MD, Ruth Miller and husband Charlie, Ethel Cover and husband Ralph and Betty Wisenburg and husband Kenneth; brothers-in-law, Francis “Pie” Harvey and wife Rose and John Conrad Harvey and surviving wife Dorothy. Mary was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Mary worked 20 years in the main lab at the Celanese. After the closing of the Celanese, she worked as a waitress at the Deep Creek Lodge and Cresaptown Eagles. Prior to living in Cumberland, she worked briefly at the Luke Paper Mill and waited tables at Jakes Tavern in Westernport. She was a member of the Cumberland Moose and the Cumberland and Cresaptown Eagles. She was also a member of the Cresaptown United Methodist Church.
In her youth, she was active in sports at Bruce High School where she graduated in 1934. She was a fan of West Virginia University football and of the Washington Redskins. She cherished all of her friends that she worked with and socialized with in the Tri-towns and in Cumberland. To her last days, she fondly recalled dancing at the Devon Club, Luke, the Clareysville Inn and other Cumberland establishments.
Her family would like to express their sincere appreciation to all those who cared for her during her last seven years in Cumberland and the nurses and aides that cared for her at the Grace Care Center in Katy.
Funeral services will be private at the Katy Funeral Home and she will be buried at Sunset Memorial Cemetery at a later date next to her husband, son, Pie and Rose Harvey, Ralph and Ethel Cover and Charlie Hughes.
