Mary Teresa Raia

Mary Teresa Pizzitola Raia, 91, went to her heavenly home on January 31, 2024. She was the only child of Mary and Dominick Corsentino and married the love of her life, Tannie Pizzitola, on October 1, 1950. Mary Teresa had a true gift of hospitality and she excelled at preparing delicious meals, whether it was for three or for thirty-three! After she had a life-changing encounter with the Lord in 1974, Tannie also did in 1977. They began to host Bible studies in their home and many came to know Jesus and have a love for the Bible. Ten years after Tannie’s death in 1991, she married Carl Raia and they enjoyed hosting home meetings for their church until his passing in 2006. Her life revolved around faith, family, friends and food and her beauty and grace will be remembered by all.

She is survived by four daughters: Lena Jones and husband E.Z., Diane Musslewhite and husband Mike, Donna Low and husband Jeff, Mary Carroll and husband Greg. She was known as Nani to grandchildren Paul Michael Jones, Nicholas Low and wife Heather, Leanne Zimmer and husband William (Billy), Matthew Sigmon, Kristen Dehner and husband Brent, Angela Grgic and husband Mirko, Tannie Low and wife Molly, Michael D. Musslewhite, and Daniel Carroll, John Carroll and wife Bethany, and Philip Carroll. She delighted in her great grandchildren, Jett Low, Sophia Asaad, Lola Low, Kendall Dehner, Cameron Dehner, and Luca Grgic.

Special thanks to Mildred Moore for her loving care and her special friendship with our mom this past year. And much gratitude to Donna and Jeff Low for their stellar care in making her transition to heaven be as comfortable as possible. Her last days at their home were a blessing not only to her but to the entire family.
