Heavenly Father,
We come before You today to lift up Roberto Nillo, a beloved friend and great man who has passed away. We thank You for the love and grace You have shown through his life and the impact he had on those around him.
Lord, we ask for Your protection and comfort over Roberto's family during this difficult time. Command Your angels to guard them in all their ways and uphold them with Your righteous right hand. May they find solace in knowing that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
We seek Your kingdom and righteousness, trusting that You will provide abundantly for all their needs. Fill Roberto's family with Your peace that surpasses all understanding and let them rest in the assurance that You are their protector and their refuge.

Today, we gather not to mourn a loss, but to celebrate a life well lived — the life of my beloved brother.

He was a man whose heart beat strongly for his family. Through the highs and lows, he stood as a steady rock — especially for his wife, whom he loved deeply and cared for tenderly through her illness, until her final breath. After she passed, he continued to give his all to raising their two children with strength, compassion, and quiet resilience.

My brother wore many hats: a devoted husband, a loving father, a hardworking provider, a generous friend, and to us — the lucky ones who got to call him family — a soul who made life warmer, lighter, and more meaningful.

He had a gift for making people feel good. Whether it was through a joke, a shared meal, or a simple conversation, he had a way of lifting spirits without needing to say much. That was his magic — a kindness that didn’t need to be loud to be felt.

And oh, how he loved food! He wasn’t just a lover of good meals — he was a wonderful cook. His kitchen was his happy place, and it became a place where stories were shared, laughter echoed, and bellies — and hearts — were always full.

He also found joy in the soil — in nurturing life through plants and vegetables. His garden was his sanctuary. And just like he shared his love, he shared the fruits of his labor — giving away fresh vegetables and herbs to friends, family, and neighbors. That was who he was: always giving, never expecting anything in return.

Today, we honor a man who lived with purpose, led with kindness, and loved without condition. He has left behind a legacy of love, generosity, and beautiful memories that will bloom in all of us — just like the plants he so lovingly tended.
