Beverly A. Pelkey

Her parents, Henry A. and Maude I. (Putnam) Davis, proudly welcomed their daughter into the world on October 24, 1938 in Amherst, NH.

A very hard worker, Beverly’s work career began at the former Princess Shoe Company in Keene, and AC Lawrence Leather in Winchester, NH. Her most recent job brought her the greatest joy in being able to help many in the community as a driver with Monadnock Developmental Services bringing many to New Hope New Horizons in Keene. The relationships she fostered with many created a special bond with Beverly, with so many being like family to her and many times accompanying her on special trips and vacations.

Beverly’s passion in life was helping others, and she was rewarded two-fold in the special bonds she shared with those in return.

Beverly was an avid floral gardener, and she enjoyed camping in Connecticut as well as playing bingo. She became friends with many while watching her daughter, Debby’s softball games, as well as of most recent, her granddaughter, Lindsey’s softball games.

She will be greatly missed by many especially her son, Francis L. Clark, Jr. and his wife, Tina, of Harrisville, RI; her daughter, Debby Clark and her wife, Robin Nelson, of Keene, NH; grandchildren, Ryan Clark, Lindsey Clark, Christopher Nelson and Ciarra Monty; a great-grandson, Brayden Donahue; and many nieces and nephews. Beverly was predeceased by her husband of 43 years, Franklin D. Pelkey, on November 24, 2013; a daughter, Donna Clark; and her siblings, Marvis, Robert, Eunice, Clara, Bernice, Fred, Hank and Jackie.

Family and friends are invited to call on Saturday December 8, 2018 from 2:30 to 3:30PM at the Foley Funeral Home, 49 Court Street, Keene. A funeral service and celebration of her life will be held at 3:30PM in the Foley Funeral Home. Rev. Lance Nelson will officiate. Burial will be in the spring in the Westport Village Cemetery, Westport, NH.
