

Her parents, Theodore and Virginia (Baker) Holbrook proudly welcomed their daughter into the world on October 6, 1943 in Springfield, Vermont. Carolyn grew up in Keene and was a graduate of Keene High School. That same year, she married James E. Phillips of Halifax, Vermont.
Carolyn worked for thirty years with Timken Corporation in Keene. She enjoyed playing bingo and having card parties with her friends. She also enjoyed camping with family and friends.
Carolyn will be greatly missed by many, especially her two daughters, Tammy Hines and her husband, Jon, of Dalton, NH and Michelle Garon of Crestview, FL; two grandsons, Shawn Borden of Georgetown, SC and Alec Chamberlain of Crestview, both with whom she loved to skype with; a great-grandson, Lucas Borden of Georgetown; her grand-dog, Ranger, who kept a vigil at her bedside at Langdon Place; her brothers and sisters, Larry Holbrook of North Swanzey, NH, Sherry Palmer and her husband, John, of Mass., Michael Holbrook and his wife, Veronica, of Fountain Hills, AZ; two sisters-in-law, Yvonne Holbrook of Marlborough, NH and Karen Holbrook of Keene; and many nieces, nephews and extended family members. She was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, James E. Phillips on December 19, 2012.

The family wishes to express their gratitude for the wonderful care provided to Carolyn at the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center as well as at the Langdon Place of Keene.
