Eloise Gertrude Clark

She was born in South Paris, ME, May 26, 1927, the daughter of Urshal and Madelyn (Record) Payne. She grew up in South Paris and attended schools there.

She married Wendell S. Clark on October 14, 1944, in Keene.

Mrs. Clark worked for several area businesses including Princess Shoe and also at American Optical as an inspector for over 12 years.

She was a member of Sturtevant Chapel in Keene and had been extremely active serving as a Sunday School Teacher, Deaconess and helping with the youth group.

She was remembered as a loving caring wife and mother. She was a strong Christian woman who loved the Lord.

She is survived by her four children; a son: Stephen D. Clark, Sr. of Keene; three daughters: Cheryl Paine of Raleigh NC., Debra Robinson of Winchester and Joline Robinson and her husband Buddy of Waxhaw, NC.; eight grandchildren: Stephen Clark Jr., and his wife Kristy, Daniel Robinson, and his wife Michelle, Mike Robinson, and his wife Heather, Jeremy Robinson, Carmen Brantley, and her husband Jamie, Jennifer Robinson, Jason Quick and Jarret Quick; ten great grandchildren: Garret Clark, Aidan Robinson, Greyson Brantley, Matthew Robinson, Sean Robinson, Josh Robinson, Katelyn Clark, Katilyn Long, Moriah Robinson and Jayleigh Robinson; her step mother Cora Payne; two step sisters Sandra Springer and Linda Smith and a step brother Bradley Payne, as well as several aunts and cousins. Her husband Wendell Clark, a brother: Urshal Payne, Jr. and daughter: Pam Clark Quick passed away previously.

Services will be held on Saturday, February 14, 2015, 11:00 AM, at Sturtevant Chapel, 25 Washington Ave, Keene. An hour of visitation will be held the same day at the church from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM. All are welcome. Burial will follow at the family lot at the Monadnock View Cemetery in Keene.
