

He was born in North Swanzey, NH, April 26, 1939, the son of Wesley Charles and Irene Elizabeth (Brooks) Thompson. He was a 1957 graduate of Keene High School.
Mr. Thompson worked for several years with Gladwinlane Oil Company in Westfield, Mass., as a furnace technician and oil delivery driver. He later worked from 1975 until his retirement in 2002 with Filtrine Manufacturing of Harrisville, NH, and now, Keene.
He was a longtime member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 1413 of Keene, serving as past president, vice-president and trustee. He enjoyed bowling, fishing, and camping trips throughout the years. He especially enjoyed his “beers” and spending time with his family and many friends.
Survivors include his wife of 17 years, Jeanne M. (Brewer) Thompson of Keene, his children; Pamela L. Small-Williman and her husband, Keith Williman, of Pittsfield, Mass., Cathleen M. Parker and her husband, Allen, of Keene, Jean Marie Roche and her husband, Ralph, of Swanzey, NH, grandchildren; Robert Wenzel, Cynthia Wenzel, Rachael Wilcox and her husband, Tony, Emily Parker, Ryan Parker, Daniel Roche and his wife, Vanessa, Alyshia Roche, and five great-grandchildren. He is also survived by three sisters; Mary E. Sutton of St. Petersburg, Florida, Ann LeClair of Charlotte, VT, Alice R. Pelletier and her husband, Jean, of Bull Head City, AZ, his step-children; Scott Sheldon of Oregon, Darrel Sheldon, Andrea M. Sheldon, Keith Sheldon and Martin Sheldon, all of Keene, six step-grandchildren, one step-granddaughter, many nieces and nephews, and his lifelong friend and brother, Paul Besaw of Alstead, NH and lifelong friend, Merrill “Buddy” Cox of Swanzey. He was predeceased by three brothers; George Thompson, Frank Thompson, Richard Thompson, and a sister, Agnes I. Downer.
A celebration of life service for Mr. Thompson will be held Wednesday from 5:00 to 9:00 PM at the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 1413, 115 Church Street, Keene. Family and friends are welcome. There are no public calling hours.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donation be made in Mr. Thompson’s memory to the Eugene A. Thompson Trust Fund, c/o any TD Bank Branch, or by mail to TD Bank, 828 Court Street, Keene, NH 03431.
The Foley Funeral Home, 49 Court Street, Keene, is assisting the family with the arrangements.
