

She was born in Chelsea MA., September 6, 1923, the daughter of Charles and Flora (Zecha) Hedrick and had resided in Everett, MA. prior to moving to Keene many years ago.
Mrs. Makin loved music and singing, was an avid book reader and loved playing board and card games. She really enjoyed time spent along the New England coast, especially at the ocean.
Survivors include: her daughter Elizabeth Dragon and her husband Peter of Swanzey, two grandchildren: Lauren Dragon-Cook and her husband Ian of Gilsum and Janelle Dragon of Swanzey, a great grandson: Liam Cook of Gilsum as well as several nieces and nephews.
She is the widow of Lloyd Makin who died in 1984 and is also predeceased by her brothers: Carl Hedrick, Joseph Hedrick, and sisters: Theresa McColgan, Helen Hedrick and Anna Gardler.
Calling hours for Mrs. Makin will be held at the Fletcher Funeral Home, Monday evening from 5 to 7. Services will be held Tuesday morning at 10:30 at the funeral home. Friends are welcome. Burial will follow at the family lot in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Keene.
