Floyd W. Joslyn

He was born in Keene, NH, March 28, 1928, the son of Herbert and Emily M. (Bryant) Joslyn.

Mr. Joslyn was a 27-year Air Force veteran serving from December 12, 1945 until May 1, 1973, retiring as a Master Sergeant. He was a life member of the Gordon Bissell American Legion Keene Post 4 and the VFW Post 1034 of Brattleboro, VT.

Following his retirement from the Air Force, Mr. Joslyn worked for 19 years with MPB Corporation in Keene. He resided in Swanzey, NH for several years before moving to Stoddard in 1986.

Mr. Joslyn enjoyed completing word puzzles and wood crafts. He enjoyed traveling and loved to dance. He also loved the outdoors, feeding the birds, and he enjoyed working in his vegetable garden and doing yard work around his home.

He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Lorraine J. (Driscoll) Joslyn of Stoddard, a son, Frederick Joslyn of the United States Virgin Islands, a stepson, Kenneth Holland of Stoddard, a step-daughter, Debbie Duffy and her husband Jeffrey of Winchester, NH, five step-grandchildren, Ben Wilder, Tanya Wilder, Jason Duffy, Kevin Duffy, Kelly Harvey, six step-great-grandchildren, Emma Harvey, Hannah Harvey, Rhyan Harvey, Tyler Harvey, Izabelle Leavitt, Kamden Duffy, a half-brother, David Joslyn of New Hampshire, a half-sister, Marcia Hazard of Washington State, several nieces and nephews, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, and cousins. A step-son, Ronald Holland, died in 1984.

A funeral service will be held Friday, November 4, 2011 at 11:00 AM in the Foley Funeral Home, 49 Court Street, Keene, NH. Rev. Richard Wallace will officiate. Burial with military honors will follow on Friday at 2:30 PM in the New Hampshire Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Highway, Boscawen, NH. Family and friends are invited to call on Friday from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the Foley Funeral Home.
