Freeman T. Ward Jr.

He was born on December 3, 1965 in Keene, the son of Freeman Thomas and Karen Ann (Rockwell) Ward, Sr. He grew up in the Keene area and attended Keene High School.

Mr. Ward married Jaymi Dawn Aron on March 13, 2010 in Jaffrey, NH.

He worked for several businesses including Asplundh Tree Service. In addition, he repaired motorcycles at his home for friends and family.

Tommy played softball in the GKMSA for 20 plus years. He was also a part of the Ward Boxing Club. He also enjoyed motorcycle riding with family and friends as well as snowmobiling and four wheeling. Tinkering on any small engine was also a favorite pastime.

He enjoyed watching his children with their activities including baseball. Most of all, Tommy enjoyed spending time with his children and time with his granddaughter.

He is survived by his wife Jaymi Ward of Winchester; five sons Freeman “Tommy” Ward III, and his fiancé Colleen O’Brien, of Swanzey, Timothy Ward of Keene, Owen Ward of Keene, John Ward of Keene and Curtis Compos-Ward of Winchester; four daughters Felicia Ward of Keene, Colleen Ward of Swanzey, Paeton Ward of Keene and Chelsea Compos-Ward of Winchester; granddaughter Lillian Ward of Swanzey; brother David Ward of Berlin; maternal grandmother L. Sylvia Valonenen Rockwell of St. Cloud, FL; niece Sarah Ward of Keene and her children Jaydon and Lexi. His parents Freeman Thomas Ward, Sr. and Karen Ann (Rockwell) Austin died earlier.

A memorial gathering for Tommy Ward will be held on August 13, 2011, from 9:00 am – 12:00 pm at the Wheelock Park Pavilion, 101 Park Avenue, in Keene.
