Gary Stanley Gorzelany

Gary Stanley Gorzelany of Fitzwilliam died at home on January 28, 2026. Born August 20, 1947, Gary was the first child of Stanley and Claire Gorzelany of Queens, NY. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister Karen. He was married for over 54 years to his best friend and the love of his life, Terry (née Hartig). After working as an executive for Xerox, he worked as a financial planner before enjoying retirement in the peaceful environment of Fitzwiliam where he found comfort in nature and the quiet of the pastoral land and a sense of community that offered connection and meaning. He appreciated good food, classic rock and blues music, and spending time with his grandchildren and animals. A friend of more than 40 years, Tom Hodge was like a brother to him. He is survived by his beloved wife, his sister Valerie (Jerry) of Bonita Springs, FL and his brother Glen (Donna) of Phoenix, AZ, his three daughters: Jenn Weinheimer (Brett) of West Chester, PA; Kristen Anderson (Todd) of Pasadena, CA; and Mindy Jones (Frick) of New Canaan, CT;. and four grandchildren: Knox Weinheimer and Nell, Tilly, and Pepper Jones.
