Gerald R Parker

He was born in Gilsum, on November 15, 1939, the son of Guy W. and Mildred I. (Ross) Parker. He attended area schools and was a member of the Keene High School, Class of 1958.

Before relocating to Florida, Gerald had been employed by the Cheshire National Bank, and later by Keene Savings Bank.

Gerald treasured times spent with family and friends. He enjoyed traveling, boating, and camping. One of his favorite hobbies was helping his mother can and cook the vegetables they had grown in their garden.

He is survived by his siblings: Jack Parker and his wife Janice of Swanzey, NH, Nancy DiBernardo and her husband Edward of St. Could, FL, and Mary Ann Yendell of Rutland, VT; an aunt: Marion Charlton of Chester, VT; his nieces: Cynthia Duchin and her husband Mark of Sandwhich, NH, Julie Deneau and her husband Brian of Bedford, MA, Kristen Vince and her husband John of St. Cloud, FL, Kimberly White and her husband Jeff of Rutland, VT, and Kelly Sampson and her husband John of Rutland, VT; his nephews: Bruce DiBernardo and his wife Ginger of Cleveland, TN, and Michael Yendell and his wife Heather of West Rutland, VT; and several grandnieces, grandnephews, and many cousins.

Services for Mr. Parker will be held at the Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 42 Forbush Lane, Swanzey, on Friday, May 23, 2014 at 10:30 am. A graveside service will follow later that day at Centennial Cemetery in Gilsum at 1:00 pm.
