
He was born in Wenatchee, Washington, April 28, 1931, the son of Robert and Maleta (Rothgeb) McCord. He was a 1949 graduate of Wenatchee High School.
Mr. McCord was a U.S. Navy veteran serving from 1950-1954, during the Korean Conflict.
In 1959, he received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Central Washington State University and in 1988, a Master in Education from Antioch New England.
While residing in Washington, he was a member of the community theatre company, Chelan Valley Players of Chelan, Washington, and a member of the Apple City Lions Club in Wenatchee.
Mr. McCord was a math teacher at the Mondadnock Regional High School in Swanzey, NH from 1973 until 1984, and was also the high school’s football coach from 1973 until 1975.
Mr. McCord was a passionate golfer and racquetball player.
Survivors include sons; Michael McCord of Exeter, NH, Bryan McCord and his wife Shirley of Stoddard, NH, daughters; Mary McCord and her husband Peter Poanessa and Maureen McCord, both of Keene, six grandchildren; Scott McCord of Stoddard, Derek McCord of Shawnee, Kansas, Emily Morse of Keene, Evan Morse of Brattleboro, VT, Erin Morse of Keene, Daniel Gilbert of Stoddard, 1 great-granddaughter, MacKenzie McCord of Stoddard, and a sister, Kathy McCord of Olympia, Washington.
Funeral services and burial will be private. There are no public calling hours.
