

James “Jim” Francis Mullins, Sr. 73, a resident of Hinsdale, New Hampshire, passed away peacefully at the Applewood Nursing Home in Winchester, New Hampshire, on Wednesday, May 28, 2014, following a period of declining health.
He was born December 16, 1940, in Worcester, Massachusetts, the son of Alfred J. and Hulda L (Uppvall) Mullins. He was a 1960 graduate of Commerce High School in Worcester and went on to serve our Nation as a member of the Army, National Guard for six years. On October 24, 1964, he married the love of his life, Carol A. Cote.
Jim had a very special place in his heart for New Hampshire and enjoyed being outdoors taking in the beauty of the nature that surrounded him. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, target sports and simply a warm day in the sunshine. He was most at home when he was surrounded by his family, sitting in his easy-chair, enjoying an ice-cold Pepsi. He adored his granddaughters and thoroughly enjoyed being “Papa”.
He is survived by his wife: Carol A. Mullins of Hinsdale, NH, three sons: James F. Mullins, Jr. and his wife Jill of Hinsdale, NH, Sean P. Mullins and his wife Kelly of Deering, NH and Adam R. Mullins of Hinsdale, his daughter: Holly M. Mullins and her companion Ryan Ross of Hillsborough, NH, four granddaughters: Christina T. Mullins, Mandara R. Mullins, Lydia M. Ross and Marisa Williams, his brother: John “Jack” P. Mullins of Worcester, MA, his sister: Maureen Mullins of Rindge, NH, his aunt: Frances Shugrue of Worcester, MA, one niece, 2 nephews, many other extended family members and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the VFW Hall on Route 202 in Jaffrey, NH on Sunday, June 22, 2014, from 2:30pm to 5:30pm. Family and friends are invited to come and share in a time of remembering good stories and memories of Jim.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the James F. Mullins, Sr. Memorial Fund c/o Sean Mullins c/o TD Bank. This fund was established to help with the continued education of his granddaughters.
