Jesse O. Wheeler Sr.

He was born on April 25, 1934 in Bellows Falls, VT, the son of the late Clifford and Margaret (Hammond) Wheeler.

Jesse was a hard-working dedicated employee at Arthur Whitcomb Company for 49 years as a yardman and retired in 1998.

Jesse was an avid hunter and fisherman, often involving his wife and son on his outings. He participated on a bowling league at Yankee Lanes in Keene. He served as a volunteer fire fighter for the Sullivan Fire Department. He was also a proud member of the NRA and New Hampshire Turkey Federation.

Jesse will be dearly missed by his loving wife of 66 years: Margaret “Peg” (Cannon) Wheeler of Sullivan, NH; a son with whom he was very close: Jesse O. Wheeler, Jr. of Sullivan, NH; granddaughter: Mykayla Stillwell and her husband Dominic of Cavendish, VT; dear friend and caretaker: Dawn Broussard of Sullivan, NH; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

He was predeceased by his daughter Carolyn Wheeler and sister Lillian Boardman.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, December 21, 2020 at 10:00 am at the Sullivan Center Cemetery, Church Street, Sullivan, NH. Those in attendance are asked to wear masks. A memorial service and celebration of life will be planned for the spring.
