John Charles Lefrancois

He was born in Rutland, VT on January 21, 1934, the son of Leo and Mildred (Lovett) Lefrancois. He grew up in Rutland and graduated from Mount St. Joseph Academy.

After high school, Mr. Lefrancois entered the US Navy and served in the Korean War from 1952 through 1955. He returned to the US and went on to graduate from the University of Vermont in 1958 with a Business Degree.

In 1958, he married Ellen Hopkins in Burlington, VT. After marriage, they moved to Fairfield, CT where they resided until Ellen died in 2010.

Mr. Lefrancois worked at US Electric Motors in Milford, CT for many years and also at Federal Paperboard Company in Piermont, NY.

He enjoyed playing tennis and reading.

His family remembers him as being hardworking, honest and witty.

Mr. Lefrancois is survived by his son John M. Lefrancois, and wife Suzanne Charbonneau of New Canaan, CT; his two daughters Martha Lefrancois, and husband Chris Appelberg of North Swanzey, NH and Marion Lefrancois of Keene, NH.

A graveside service will be held for Mr. Lefrancois later in the spring. Fletcher Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 33 Marlboro St., Keene, NH has been entrusted with the arrangements.
